Take a listen to Dan's Christmas Song while you browse our blog.

Life in Erda

Audrey is having a great time here in Erda. She found this toy truck outside and was having a blast on it making all the sound effects.

We had Thanksgiving at our house. Check out the beautiful turkey.

We just had my parents, Anna, and us. It was great.

After dinner things got a little crazy. Here's Anna trying out mom's green bean thing. Disgusting!

We made some awesome rainbow Jello it had 12 layers and took us about 8hours to make it.

Living on the farm Audrey has found a new favorite thing to do. Play in the tractors! Look at that grin.

She takes it quite seriously. Notice the one-handed driving while using the levers with the other hand. To see just how huge the tractor is take a look at the picture below.

It's HUGE next to her!

Another one of Audrey's favorite thing to do is to find cool old junk out in the yard. She found this old bike and just had to get in the basket.

It Snowed!! "What is this white stuff?"

Most of all Audrey loves to play with Mom and Dad.

Weekend Visitors

We are finally getting all settled into our new place. This last weekend Keith & Cheryl came to visit along with their boys we had a great time with them.

Audrey loves having Dillan (center) and Josh (right) around. She has missed them tons.

Audrey, Tyson, and Josh had a great time in the bath together.

Our house has a little metal, spiral staircase in it that Audrey thinks is her jungle-gym. It's very dangerous as you can see so we have to come up with ways to block it off.

Now that we are all settled in it's time to sit back take a 'big drink' and relax! (I'm not sure whose idea this was!)

HAPPY DAY!!!!
So it happened already Dan just got a job. He will be working for Hunter Douglas as their 'Wood Scrap Manager' (WSM). Hunter Douglas produces all sorts of blinds and window coverings http://www.hunterdouglas.com. He will be the manager of 5 or 6 guys. We are so proud of him!

Here he is just getting home from the interview, spreading the good news to his mom. They interviewed about 10 people and chose Dan to be their man.

HALLOWEEN!!

We had a great Halloween Audrey was a frog take a look at some of the pictures.

Here's the little tadpole with Grandma.

She was a Woman on a mission!

Here's a little video clip of Audrey on the move.

This is Audrey at her very first door. We only went to a few houses but she loaded up cause everyone thought she was so cute and let her take more than one piece.

The Big Move
For those of you who haven't heared we packed up and moved up North to Erda. It was sad to leave Cedar City & all our friends behind but I think the change will be for the good.

We packed and packed, well Audrey unpacked and cleaned and cleaned.

We made sure to pack all our 'precious' things into boxes!

One of the nights we took a break to go visit Gram & Gramp Allen.

Then we got the UHAUL and started loading it up. Audrey couldn't figure out why the tv was in the back of a truck.

Now we are here in Erda trying to get all settled in. Audrey is picking up fast how to live in the country!

Not Sure Where to Start

I'm not sure where to start on the update so kick back and enjoy some pictures.

Crazy Hairdo

Playing in the sink and loving it!

Audrey loves water of any kind!

Audrey asleep in Daddy's arms after her 1yr shoots and toe pricking.

Aunt Anastasia showing Audrey a new way to play the piano!

Audrey loves to say and sign "DOG" she also loves to play with them. As you can see they are very tolorent of her.

We have a big apple tree in our backyard where Audrey and Dan love to pick apples. Keith & Cheryl Wheeler's boys, Dillan(left), Josh(right), came to visit and partake of the goodness as well.

Audrey can really sink her teeth into those apples. Every time we take her in the backyard she points up at the tree and wants an apple.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Dan and Audrey.

Audrey has been loving the fresh salsa from the garden. So much so that she even dunked her binki in it check out below.

Keith and Cheryl came over to pick some apples. We had alot of fun.

Our Danmark Trip
We had a great time in Danmark. Take a look at some of our pictures.

Our first day there we went to a town called Skagen which is located at the very Northern tip of Denmark. At this point two seas, the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, actually meet. If you look close you can see waves from each sea crashing together.

Next we had a chance to go see a village that has been preserved to looked just as it would have in the 1700. All the houses were yellow with orange roofs so the sailors could spot land while out at sea. The streets were all cobble stone and were very narrow.

We visited lots of churches where Dan's ancestors worshiped. At every church there were beautiful graveyards. We all thought we were going to be able to find grave spots of some of the ancestors but we found out that grave spots are rented by families for 25 years and after that they are rented to someone else. They remove the grave stones and stack them in the rear of the grave yard as you can see below. In the picture with Dan & Dave they are standing where thier Great-Grandfather was christened. These churches were all built in the 1300-1500 and are still used today.

We stayed in cool guest houses in the small town of Blokhus. The houses were close to the beach so we went to check out the beautiful sunsets almost every night. A couple of the nights it was very windy as you can see.

We happened to drive though a town where a bunch of people were standing on the side of the road waiting for something so we decided to stop and find out what was going on. It was the annual Denmark bike race passing through the town.

In an attempt to cure bordem Dan & Dave found the trap doors to the bell tower of one of the churches we visited. It was pretty high up. If you look closley you can see their heads in the window.

We went to the only National Park in Denmark. The land was purchased by Danish immigrants and handed over to the government on the condition that it would be preserved. Every 4th of July they have a big celebration with thousands of people in honor of the USA. Our uncle Mark performed at this celebration with the Singing Mormon quartet when he was on his mission. This monument represents the many Mormon immigrants that came to the US. We went to a natural spring where we refilled our bottles. We then hiked through a beautifull forest that cannot be described by the pictures below.

We had the chance to take our car accross on a barge. This warning sign is a little different than we typically see in Utah.

We went to an out door museum that described more of how things were in the country life during the 1700s.

This is a Cathedral that we visited when we got to copenhagen. We also visited the Church of our Lady where we saw the original Christus.

We went to the Hans Christian Andersen house. He's the author who wrote "The little Mermaid", "The Ugly Duckling", etc.

We went to the Fredricksbourg Castle. It was very amazing. One of our favorite things there was the room with the Carl Blok paintings. As you can see in a picture below his paintings are very familiar painings used by the LDS church.

We went to the Viking Museum and Amy talked us into dressing up.

We went to a 7-11 in Copenhagan and Danielle bought herself a 3 dollar small slurpee.

It's very common to ride bikes in Copenhagan. This is how it looks at rush hour.

On our bus and boat tour we had a chance to see the changing of the guards at the Queens Palace. We also saw the Little Mermaid staute which was sculped in honor of Hans Christian Andersen.

As you can see we had the chance to go to the Temple while we were there. The temple is actually a restored church building that our dad and his brother, our uncle Jerry, attended while they served together.
